Welcome to Watkins & Doncaster, the Naturalists. We specialise in the manufacture and supply of equipment for the study of the Natural Sciences such as recording, collecting, storing and observing insect life. We also stock a full range of equipment for the taxidermist with a range of glass cases and domes. A separate leaflet is available on request for these. We supply to the private entomologist or natural history enthusiast as well as to universities and other official bodies both in this country and world-wide. We are mainly mail order although we do have a small showroom for personal callers.

Watkins & Doncaster was established in 1874 and began trading in the Strand in London. It has been run by the Ford family since 1942 and is now located in the heart of the Kentish countryside not far from the south coast.

W & D Strings was incorporated in the same company in 1985 and is run from the same premises supplying sports shops and private stringers with all the equipment necessary for efficient racket stringing for tennis, squash and badminton. We carry a comprehensive range of strings and accessories as well as stringing machines. Also stocked are rackets, ball baskets, shuttlecocks and a range of golf balls.
